XXXTENTACION, or 'X' for short, is an American rapper previously iconic for having dreaded hair in two colors: half blond and the other half black. His overall style is very daring and may seem reckless to some people. However, I am going to talk about him because he completely changed my view on music and life. Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy made my perspective on living and music dramatically better. I can't so much explain on how, but his music, especially his latest album, is very eye-opening to me. Most of his older music is similar to hard trap where he screams out lyrics in anger or distress. This is what captivated me at first, all the things he'd gone through in his life. He had a very rough childhood and I understand by his lyrics what Jahseh was feeling. I can't say I relate to any other artist out there more than X. There's haters that don't like him because he's been accused of abusing his girlfriend who was "pregnant" which is all just part of the rumors he has to live with. Although he has had his fair share of punches and fights, some that ended him up in jail, it was mainly "fans" or other artists that came at him first by threatening him. He loves trying to help others with his music. For example, he dedicated a song to a girl who committed suicide. He even has tattoos that remind him of all his depression, like one that says "numb" to signify he felt nothing at some point in his life, which he had acquired as a cause of his depression. As you'll probably be able to tell in the videos at the end of this post, he's a commonly misunderstood soul that has felt alone, depressed and suicidal at some point. He now makes music that depicts his emotions and turns them into lessons or morals he now swears by.

Above is the song he dedicated to the lost soul, a victim taken by depression.
