Khalid Legend Robinson is an American singer and songwriter born February 11, 1998 from El Paso, Texas. He began making music in 2015 as a teenager in high school for a project. Once he realized he had a good thing going on, he started connecting with producers like Skysense who, along with Tunji Ige and Smash David, worked on Khalid's bittersweet breakout single "Location". After it's release in 2016, the song hit the Top 10 of Billboard's Hot R&B Songs chart this past January. He credits Kylie Jenner, a famous celebrity known for modeling and cosmetics, for the songs popularity. Through a social media app called Snapchat, Kylie posted a video with the song in the background. Soon, Jenner fans were scrambling to listen to Khalid's album.
