Steven Paul Jobs was an American entrepreneur, businessman, inventor, and industrial designer. He practically invented the first iPhone as well as other devices like the iPod with the help from Apple. The CEO Apple is now Tim Cook. He was born February 24, 1955, San Francisco, California and passed away from pancreatic cancer October 5, 2011, Palo Alto, California. Soon after he was being called a cultural zeitgeist. He is my role model because he still continued to do his thing even after he knew he was going to die. He always looked for what was best for apple especially for Apple customers and future ones. Jobs was involved in every step of the initial development process, which according to one insider cost the company $150 million for iphones. To me, he was a genius just as much as Einstein was. I mean think about all of the people you see using Macintosh laptops, iPads and iPhones everyday. Steve Jobs’ leadership style is very difficult to clearly identify. Jobs’ characteristics and traits specifically fit into different leadership styles. Jobs would be classified as an autocratic leader, he told people what to do, asserted them, and served as a team member of Apple. Design, music, the PC, the Post-PC Era, ads, the ecosystem, the Mac Operating System, and Apple stores are just a few of the areas Jobs influenced. Ultimately, Jobs' biggest contribution isn't just a smartphone, a tablet or an operating system, but Apple itself, a 12,000-strong organization that was once on the brink of irrelevance. Another reason Steve Jobs is my role model is because I like the way he thinks on beliefs of people and technology. Technology is art and art is technology is it not?
